the bee’s knees

In the 20s, the cat’s pajamas may have had nothing to do with actual felines, but I’m not so sure about this moment. This makes twice in my sleeping/loungewear rotation since we’ve gotten the kitten that I’ve worn these wonderful old-navy pajama pants around with their drawstrings at the ankles. And this makes twice that the kitten has gone nuts and followed me everywhere throughout the house. She also perches under the desk, waiting for me to move a foot and cause the strings to move so she can pounce. These are my cat-toy pajamas, which is my excuse — especially with the house empty — to work in my pajamas as long as possible. Just glad we don’t have video conference calls.

Hrm. I just opened a one of those ready bags of salad from the grocery store — the kind that has baby-spinach, dried cranberries, and almonds included, the kind that says plainly on the bag “everything but dressing” — to find that it only contained the baby-spinach. What a let down. *pout*

Countdown: 24 days to my family reunion — first one I’ve gone to in…. 12 years? =\ No further comment.

Last night, Senator Kerry on the Daily Show… does Jon Stewart rock or what?

Oh, and did anyone who saw the US beach volleyball girls win gold last night have any doubt what one of today’s “most emailed photos” would be?

/end babble.

I’m just happy that the most emailed photos have been women who look like women and not 40 million shots of some prepubescent gymnast or swimmer who looks like a man.

    Yeah.

It’s a unfortunate that women athletes only get press if they are sex-objects or overly masculine.

But my libido isn’t arguing much, that’s for sure.
