Ladies who lunch

28 Feb 2005 by flerly, 2 Comments »

This weekend I watched eight-year-olds play basketball, tried to go low-carb at a Hibachi place, had a bulldog puppy try to bite my thumb off, forgot to call my niece with the free weekend minutes (again), and managed to watch the first six episodes of Medium, so that now I’ve seen them all. All in all, not too productive. I did manage to wash clothes, but not to actually fold or put them away. We did manage to eat, though I never got to the grocery store. Somehow, things continue to plod along.

All in all, it was another precious two days that zipped by in a blur, despite us not really doing much of anything. I’m ready for another two. I feel zapped today — from the crappy sleep and the weather probably. Today’s only high point may have been lunch with , and not just because of the three cups of coffee I had. Sometimes it just blows my mind how much time passes between when I actually see people. I guess despite how often my mom points it out to me, it just seems like I keep in touch more than I do. I guess I just get too bogged down in my own day to day stuff and let more time pass than I think.

Hopefully, with spring and some improving weather, I’ll try harder to get together more. I still want to do a girly recipe night cooking together… or maybe a lunch and shopping Saturday (heavy on the browsing and light on the spending). Would anyone be interested in either of those?

i know what you mean about not realizing how much time passes between seeing sessions–something i’m guilty of as well (but you already knew that). i would be interested in both the girly recipe night and lunch & shopping. maybe one of those could be followed up with a viewing of one of your recently acquired (and relinquished) DVDs?

any of the above could certainly be followed by DVDs… seems I have a lot of them.

Perhaps we should do a lunch & shopping first, so as to better plan a girly recipe night.
