Month 2 Day 2

“Tour of the Park” day .. the day James did a couple weeks ago without me and described as running & arms. It’s supposedly what they do on the 2nd day everytime — though starting mid-month, and being out with injury that first 2nd day, it’s my first time.

Essentially a run around to the various areas of the park where we’ll be working out, and doing a bit of some exercise we’ll later do in that place… so running centipedes in the grass around the trees, running from rock wall to rock wall, where we stop to do dips and pushups, or leg ups, or row boats and flutter kicks, stop in the big grassy field for some pushups, crunches, fire hydrants, kick backs, run some laps up and down the stairs, lunge walk down one path… bit of everything. Bootcamp sampler day, I guess.

As for me, I’m learning to push it. I’m making an effort to swing my arms more and extend my stride, and doing my best to stay near the head of the class. I’m thankful for the cooler weather these past two afternoons, that’s for sure.

Tomorrow, abs day on the mats — no sweat.

Oh, and since I only ate 3 meals yesterday, since I was out of bootcamp mode, because well, I just wasn’t as hungry since I hadn’t been execising so hard, I got “encouragement” today, along with about 6 girls who were late for class. There’s no food related encouragement for newbies in the first week, so usually very little encouragement that first week, but today… yeah, big group. After all that running, 3 sets, 10 squats and 10 squat jumps, and my legs were offiically jello.

Still no more foot pain, and that was a LOT of running today.
