Morning!

Posted in Crazy Wisdom on Friday, April 11, 2003 at 10:03 am by flerly.

Friday is finally here. I’m 20 minutes late for work, but the parking lot is mostly empty, and I still beat Marc. Nobody seems to care today because, well, it’s Friday.

I cannot get over.. hrm, perhaps I should cut this..I cannot get over how lucky I am. Outrageously lucky, and it just keeps occurring to me more and more lately. Like on the cold & rainy night we were out, I was driving, and I needed gas. “What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn’t pump your gas on a night like this”… which was just the sweetest thing. Then, when our bathroom tub clogged and wouldn’t drain, he filled it with draino before he left for work, hoping it would be down before morning when I needed the shower. Of course, with our luck, he gets home sometime before 8 in the morning, I’m still in bed and I’m sure he’s ready to crawl in, too, but instead he finds the tub still clogged and goes to work on it with the plunger. All this is unprompted, just wonderful things he does. I’ll shut up.

I’m ready for some cheese. I’m ready for some sunshine and warmth. I’m ready to get this week over with. Next week looks better from here. Found a new local doctor who is actually local and got a quick appointment. Going to see Fischer Spooner Tuesday night, groovin at eleven50. Then, well, it’s Easter! And, this year, that means Pearl Jam in concert. I’m not even sure if we get Good Friday off here, but it won’t matter. James is working the weekend. Concert is Saturday, and it’s too long of a drive to anywhere for just a Sunday. Thus, I have a feeling we’ll be eating at home again this year. Fine with me. Ooh, and then the next weekend is a stress management night to a comedy club downtown with work peeps. That might be fun. Let’s see, then the next weekend is Music Midtown & James family reunion. The next weekend is the next LJAtlanta meet & Mother’s Day. The next weekend is the Bachelorette party, then the next weekend is the wedding.

Oh jeez. I’m booked until June. This schedule is going to kill me (or bankrupt me). And, not to forget Fleetwood Mac concert is beginning of June.

Me, though.. I’m just counting the days until July.

Oh, and trying to win a skydiving trip before then. Come on radio… tune in.. tune in. Need a better antennae.

Eek. People seem to think I should be working.

I can’t win that damned contest either! I’m scared to death of skydiving, but I think I could do it. But I’d LOVE to go to Nepal!

99x giving away Skydiving passes every hour. When you win the Skydiving pass, you are entered in a bigger drawing for a trip to Nepal to hike Everest. It’s part of their “Before I die” giveaways….

and LJAtlanta meet is just a get together of people in the communities Atlanta and/or LJAtlanta. Just a small bunch of local LJers getting together to eat & gab in person.

Q1: 99X is running a contest – “before I die” – it’s things that people want to do before kicking the bucket. This week, the winners (a few a day), win a sky-diving lesson and a jump. Then they’re entered to win a 12-day trip to Nepal and Everest. They draw today. Next week it’s another 50 or so small prizes for a different “before I die” then a drawing for a big one from those winners.

    Q2: dunno.
