I want to see the little Peck-ers

I knew if I waited around long enough someone would do it… the weekend recap. I’m glad somebody else did, because I wasn’t sure I was up to the recap. Like I tried telling Kit Saturday repeatedly, I think my brain stalled out on Friday, and I didn’t get it jumpstarted until my productive Sunday. I was a walking zombie most of the weekend (not that I didn’t have fun), I was just not able to make decisions.

Cheese was good. VERY good. The Highlander afterwards was particularly good. I cannot get over Michelle hugging me, then me not letting her pull away until she told me my name, “What’s my name, bitch?” I’ve hung out with her at least five times recently, and damned if she ever remembers it. She did this time, though, and hopefully that moment will stick with her. was very cool, and of course is always a trip. Not real sure about their friends, but I think that’s just because we didn’t really talk. We did however, manage to all go nuts over the flyers for the band we shall dub “PECK: a small tribute to KISS”. It’s a midget KISS coverband, full makeup, playing the Chamber this Thursday @10, and we are so there. Or at least while we were drunk, we had decided that we were so there. Who knows what will really happen. Can’t say I was really ever a KISS fan… I should have known you weren’t a real KISS fan when you were willing to dress as Peter Criss!

And how does every good night of drinking end up? Why with me, at home, in front of the PC chatting up the boi at werq. Managed to have a little chat with Greg from work, too, about somethings he couldn’t quite hear over the conference call Friday.

And then… there was Saturday. Oh, let’s get up and go to work.. SHYEAH! Slept.. late-r than usual, got some food, watched some TV, or more precisely, fell asleep watching Flash Gordon, until calls to tell me I was supposed to be at her house at 4. So, I grab a bag full of possible stuff to wear out later, and head her way. Yatta yatta, Junkman’s Daughter, Vortex, other shopping. Found a very cute little item for my sister, which I hope James and I will be visiting end of next week via motorcycle. Have to say, quality of food aside, I just wasn’t impressed with the Vortex.. too many people crammed into too small of a space — which may be fine when you’re dancing, but when you’re trying to have a meal, and you have to get up from your seat so that the people next to you can get out of their seat, then it’s just not fun. They also have a lot to learn about chocolate martinis, not that the effort wasn’t appreciated . In fact, here’s just a note of thanks to the three best girls in the world, , , and for your friendship and generosity Saturday and forever.

The Chamber was fun, even without the celebrity greeting we had last time. Had a few folks try to strike up conversations, many folks checking out the stockings, and of course, the one token drunk guy who tries to hump/dance you from behind. I love the music at the Chamber… lots of elbows being thrown in my dancing there. =) So long, hump-guy, sorry about your eyeball!

And then how does every good night of drinking end up? This time, chatted the boi and the hawaii boi. I’m afraid I’ll need a little refresher course on “the bases” before I could accurately describe how well his latest date went. He’s in love.

Well, I had planned not to write up this entry until I was ready to post the pictures to go with it, but I’m still working on those. And, believe it or not, it is the last day of the month here… there are deadlines to be met… many things are hanging on me to be finished.. and not ONE soul has come by or implied that I should get to work. I have, though, received many thank-you’s via e-mail for the shit I accomplished in the five hours I spent at work yesterday. Even with the working, yesterday was fun. Good dinner at Outback with the sunburned-boi, then some swimming, a little trip to the gym, a little trip to the showers =), and a little literary conversation about the books we’re reading.. him, 2001, me, 3001. Just think that’s funny.

Oh well.. guess I’ll join the crowd examining the office to see what they plan to take home. I could use a good desk chair at home.

Addendum: One little picture…
