Happy Halloween

You know you want to click here to experience along with me that wonderful Dukes of Hazard moment that occurred this morning, when I whipped into the back entrance of work and found at the end of the long straightaway a roll back truck with his ramp down just begging for someone to jump something with their car… Lucky for me I realized at the last second that I was not, in fact, sitting in the General Lee, and would probably thus be fated to crash radiator first into some tree…. if only I’d worn my Daisy Dukes…

Would have been very appropriate to trash my car on the day I finally renew my tags.

Oh well.. today I am in full-on cheerleader getup at work (as I was at the emissions testing and the DeKalb tag office earlier), and am disappointedly the ONLY person who actually dressed up today, despite all the ideas and plans. Oh well. I’m enjoying it.

Yes, as I mentioned, I’m flying to California for work November 10th-14th, which sort of throws a wrench in my Chattanooga plans. Called my mom to let her know last night and found out she was going to back out on me anyway to save money for the Thanksgiving trip. Also found out niece and her Navy hubby have to relocate by February, but only have until … well, today.. to decide where. San Diego, Norfolk, or Japan…. and it looks like they are leaning toward Japan, in which case I think I know the perfect thing to send her for her birthday if JamesT agrees to give it up. I’ll have to point her here, too. Reading this makes me want to move there…

Heh.. just had the mental image of my 6’1″ niece and her 6’2″ hubby towering over people in Japan. I guess it won’t be too much different than when they lived in Hawaii.

Oh well… I hear lots of cursing coming from Patrick’s office at the end of a recent conference call, so I think I’ll see what’s up.

Addendum: Okay, I’m one of two who dressed up. Patrick is in his baseball uniform. Sporty theme for Halloween I guess…
