That’s one way to lose a lot of fat fast…

Posted in Crazy Wisdom on Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at 11:01 am by flerly.

One travel cage, one extra large towel for padding, and a few cat treats later, Samuel the fat and cowardly is officially no longer in our care. I’m sure Kitty misses him already, since she is fumbling to get the drawer open where I have replaced the cat treats, surely because she wants to give him another one. She’s done all manner of things to sabotage Jim’s attempt to take the fat cat away…. last night, she even decided to eat through the bag of cat food he’d bought, tearing a big enough hole that he had to put the food into another bag.

Oh well… It’ll be almost like he’s still around until I get a chance to vacuum up the 40 pounds of cat hair he left behind. Samuel, you will be missed.

This morning I can’t tell you where James is right now, lest I jinx it for him. Think happy thoughts.

Me? Well, Comsuck mail is down, and I’m trying to work from home for a bit. I was waiting around for Jim to handle his car registration stuff this morning before he came back to pick up his cat. I really should get at least a few things done this morning. I want lunch. Heck, I want to work from home all day. I’m feeling so sluggish, head very stopped up, killer headache started when I tried to go to bed last night…just.. ugh.

Supposed to climb today. Probably will. Especially will if I work from home all day, which I officially now think I’m going to try. In which case, time to get off here and get some shit done.

Sam wasn’t officially our cat. He belonged to an old roomate, Jim, who got transferred out of town for a contract job. He didn’t think he’d be there long, so he didn’t take the cat…. Sam doesn’t take to relocating very well. Now it looks like the contract will be long term, so he came to pick him up.

We’re hoping our actual cat, Kitty, will now be much less psycho.

Silly boy. If they’ve read our journals they KNOW we can’t sleep all night long. Insomnia is a common topic… let’s talk about sleeping all DAY long, we’re good at that.

Glad to have met you, too. Apologies for being “less than flerly” if I was, because climbing makes me frustrated and grumpy. =) Right now it’s a hate/hate relationship.. I’m still looking for the love.
