Why does he enjoy saying my birthday is Halloween every single year?

Shoeman: Hey isn’t your birthday coming up on Friday? What do you want?
Flerly: har har. what do I always want/need?
Shoeman: sex?
Flerly: oh, good point, but not what I meant.

FYI, I meant money, as I always do. No tengo dinero or something. Thank God tomorrow is payday. Priority one tomorrow, car tags. What joy… Still trying to decide how to arrange that… I’m guessing just do it first thing and be late for work, since I have to be here tomorrow. Ugh.. I should be in costume tomorrow, too. I still don’t know what to do about that…

music | I’ll tumble for ya over the PA system

What the?!? Fun with the PA. 80s strike back…

Anywho… I’m sincerely hoping my mystery headache/joint pain ailment is a result of my recent slacking on the diet and exercise and not so much a Happy Birthday, you’re old, thing. Discovered my lovely POS television upstairs has no inputs to hook up a DVD player, and thus my exercise options for the bedroom are limited to the small-screen, low volume, portable player unless I just “get over it” and go use the downstairs setup again. I’m a dork.

For the record, I am also a severely petty, jealous, stalker bitch lately, also probably a result of the diet and exercise slacking which wears on my mood and self-esteem. When I do get paid tomorrow, a trip to the Walmart is in order to stock up on low-carb foods to restart induction and get on with my self-improvement… New goal… look better for family gatherings at Thanksgiving. I haven’t really seemed to put much of any weight back on during this two-week slack-fest.. still getting in my size 10s just fine, but …. blah… sameness is not progress.

Anywho.. todays hurdle is the short-notice notification to attend an afternoon conference call, with a scary looking topics outline. It’s about “implementation” and the “bottle-neck” in the process, which is, well, me. The meeting is scheduled for at least two hours but will “continue until finished”…. ick. I always dread these meetings where the subject is What exactly do you do here? How do I spend my time, you ask? Um.. well, there is the making of coffee, then the catching up on the night’s LJ posts, mostly diet-related, then the selection of music for the day, then the checking of emails, then the good morning chats, then the completion of some minor issue and emailed notices it is done, so that it seems I’ve done something for the morning, then there is the coffee refill, then the morning LJ post to settle my thoughts for the day, then it’s usually time to start thinking about lunch plans, then after lunch we have the “work time” where a few things are accomplished before time for the afternoon coffee and possibly the decision to drive home early and beat traffic.

*sigh* I guess I should play a little catch-up this weekend. Welp, time for coffee refill.

Now I see why you get so stressed out, too! It’s hectic to try to keep that coffee cup refilled and not miss out on any LJ-posts all day. Thank goodness for that little flashing pencil in the taskbar to let me know when to check for updates….
