Anywho.. one of my weekend jobs is to go back and add the standard RE/MAX disclaimer to the homepage of 25 sites our new people in Kansas City built. How tedious is this…

I have the urge to throw in on JUST one of them… “Each RE/MAX office is individually pwned and operated.”

pwned:

1) A corruption of the word “Owned.” This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled “owned.” When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so “has been owned.” Instead, it said, so-and-so “has been pwned.” Basically, it has come to mean “to own” or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force. e.g.. That team totally pwned us.

2) A term to describe the domination of ones mother in the sack during a nasty session of love making, or a game of CS. e.g.. Craig’s mum was pwned by the love pipe.

3) Commonly used by l4m3r computer gamers as a substitute for the word owned. Be advised that using this word will automatically classify you as a l4m3r and will ruin your reputation among the 1337. e.g.. John Wannabe types: “Hey guys I just pwned a bunch of terrorists in counter-strike!”
