Did you know…
Did you know that Winamp allows you to adjust just how random their shuffle feature is?
There just seems to be something fundamentally wrong with that concept: Control how random is random. Sort of seems not random anymore.
I guess that’s why they call it the ambiguous term “shuffle” rather than “random.”

That looks like the ol’ winamp3 window- Have you not upgraded to 5 yet? It’s ultra-spiffy, and doen’t have that horrid resource-hog Studio.exe

There was nothing wrong with WinAmp 2… 3 is just terrible… I still have the full install files for 2.91, so why bother? =]

I am oblivious to the version– it was whatever version they had when I put win2k on that box– upgrade, wha?!? Why fix it if it ain’t broke? (or broke enough to annoy me). When I have one box that sits beside me doing nothing but Trillian, outlook express for personal email, and serenade me with random mp3 crap via Winamp v.whatever, the v.whatever isn’t so important cuz there’s really nothing to bog down.
Anywho…. CONTROL OF THE RANDOM!?!? (this disturbs me…) Winamp playing God with order and chaos and my whole world is crumbling. Wonder if that was just a phase with v.3 or if they’re still trying to mess with the fabric of reality in v.5.
Damnit, now I have to get v.5 just to find out.
ps. I smoke crack and don’t share.

Yeah Winamp5 is still pretty much 3, with a few more bells and whistles, but its still a resource hog. Winamp2 is still the best one, though for some reason, every once in a while, it goes crazy on my sound card so that’s why I had to switch to Winamp 3/5.. have had no problems with it on those versions.
