The goal: February 1st, me and a snowboard get introduced to a mountain to see which one of us breaks first. Or perhaps, me and some skis. It’s not decided. Ski rental is free on that day where we’re going. Everyone else will be snowboarding, though. So, we made a pact to exercise every day for the next two weeks to try to build some endurance and strength, and on top of that I’m trying to diet. We’ll see.
Barely sat in front of a computer again today, which feels great to me. Gonna be a shitty work week, though. Some people who didn’t realize we were off today tried to send me work, which I read but ignored for the day. That nagging work ethic I’ve been trying to put down tried to tell me I should spend at least a little time doing work, but in the end, finishing Black House last night and On Writing today were all the reminders I needed that I’d rather be doing anything else. Already well into Why We Say It, skimmed a bit through Woe is I, too, but really looking forward to starting one of the two novels I picked up.
Sure being away from the computer meant I haven’t been writing, but it was a worthwhile break. In fact… why am I here right now. Think I’ll walk away until tomorrow.
