Friturday Night is all right

If eleven50 is sending out DJRuckus spam, saying he’ll be putting people to sleep on Friday, April 31st, does that mean it’s not really happening? Or, did they invent an extra Friday for this month? I could use an extra day this week if any, and since my deadline is “before May 1st”, an April 31st would work out great.

I replied to their spam with:

Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November;
February has twenty-eight alone,
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting leap-year, that’s the time
When February’s days are twenty-nine.

Oh yeah, and for any upcoming visitors to our place, beware, or rather, as the sign says, “Smile. Your on camera.” Of course, they don’t seem to have actually installed any cameras anywhere. Perhaps there aren’t really going to be any cameras, and that’s why they didn’t say you are on camera.

The place is under new management, since the day after the big apartment fire. So far, I have been liking them better than the old management, and well, everybody has that go-getter staffer who is willing to order a bunch of big metal signs without letting anybody else proof-read what they’re going to say. They have fixed the gates, put up nice new poles, and of course, those camera signs presumably to help keep people from knocking down the poles or stacking rocks to block gates open. Good for them. And, of course, they continue to allow our mailman to park his truck in the shade by the creek every day, to put his feet up and do whatever mailmen do in their truck for a couple hours everyday. I still find that a funny sight to drive by when I happen to catch it.
