My mother, aware of my paranoia when it comes to buzzing, flying insects sent me an early morning email of warning today.

I really don’t if you watch the early show or not. But there is a big ugly bug, swarming from Texas to Atlanta. They are call cicada and only come out of the ground every 17 years. They only stay around 3 to 4 weeks and they don’t bite, so don’t be afraid if you see one! I know how you love bugs! They say they can make a racket that sounds like a garbage disposal. That sounds terrible, but they are harmless.
