Well, I am in the midst of a highly unusual situation, true, but I’m not feeling like I have very good taste right now. Let’s just say… despite beating myself up this week, I am looking forward to this weekend. And, after watching this first disk of the first season of BBC’s Coupling, I know I am buying the whole series.
Lastly… a couple of things about this article bother me:
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – A 16-year-old boy was caught using a camcorder tape the first showing of “Spider-Man 2” at a Los Angeles theater, the Motion Picture Assn. of America (MPAA) said.
The teen was spotted early Wednesday by a projectionist scanning the audience with night vision goggles. The boy, who was not identified because he is a minor, was arrested on suspicion of violating a California law that went into affect in January, barring the videotaping of movies in commercial theaters.
There’s more to it here, but firstly, I wonder is it typical for projectionists to have night vision goggles? Do they get into that job for the “perks” of it meeting their voyerism fetish? And secondly, so prior to January, it was legal to videotape a movie in a commercial theater in California. Hrm.
I love addendums: read this splendiferous post.
