you know you’ve watched too much HGTV when you see someone create a “laptop cozy” — yes, a fru-fru padded decorator box that matches your decor, where you can store your ugly laptop computer.

Time to throw the Firefly‘s back in — or God forbid, turn off the TV!

On another note… yesterday I noticed in two different episodes of Firefly something I’d never really noticed before. Just phrases that made me think of Donnie Darko. In “Our Mrs. Reynolds”, she talks about her view being not much more than one of the cellar door. In “Out of Gas”, Inara is begging Malcomb not to stay with the doomed ship like some old sea captain. She says, “You don’t have to die alone.” He replies, “Everyone dies alone.”

I don’t suppose that’s really any kind of connection. Just interesting coincidences, I guess.
