As if…
annoying neighbor-guy with Jeep, who likes to park in front of his garage door and partially block the road, sometimes leaving his motor running and radio blasting for hours while he is no where in sight, isn’t bad enough.
today, he’s brought friend of annoying neighbor-guy with Jeep, who drives a huge pickup truck. Usually, this is at least in a parking space, but alas, today it has been parked across the front of our garage and other neighbor’s garage for about an hour, with the windows down and the radio booming.
With the day it seems JT had, I’d like to see what happens if it’s still there when he gets home and tries to pull in the garage.
Note: No matter. Opening and closing our garage door once seems to have gotten his attention. Like there aren’t open spaces all over, some 10 feet from where he was parked illegally. Crazy inconsiderate.

It is totally outrageous when someone parks in a manner which is blocking doors, traffic, or other parked cars in a parking lot with plenty of empty spaces. Apparently walking five extra feet is too much effort for some people.
At my old complex, the repairmen used to park their trucks directly in between the two rows of parking spots, blocking entry and exit to the sub-lot for my building out of total laziness.

The next time it happens, one of us will call the office and get them to tow the truck. I’ll do it if you don’t want to.

another neighbor, the one who has the garage between ours and annoying Jeep guy, is an older couple. The man, right before we’d moved in, had a stroke, and had a lot of trouble walking. I noticed they used to park their car blocking the road at the end of the sidewalk a lot, and at first I thought it was pretty rude, but when I later realized it was just to help load or unload him, I was tolerant. In the couple years we’ve been here, he’s gotten better enough that they don’t even do that anymore… they shuffle him across the road to the parking spaces. It just kills me though that big burly Jeep guy and his big burly friend, both obviously strong and healthy guys, aren’t embarassed that they can’t make it from a parking space to the garage when this feeble guy can.
On the other hand, though… we used to have a neighbor on the other side, older lady, who frequently had a visitor who had trouble walking. Problem was, she drove a huge land yacht of a car. She would circle the lot then stop in front of her friends door and just park there, where she could practically roll out and into the apartment. That huge car was so big that, though you could drive by it, it made it hard to get in or out of the three parking spaces across from her apartment…. AND she would leave it parked there for her whole visit… be it a half hour or all night. I finally left a note on their car asking if they could just park it in a space if they were staying very long, and they did.
Man I babble. TMI, I’m sure.

i think we just need to talk to the guy and see why the heck he hates the environment so much he’ll leave his truck running for hours with his radio playing. or perhaps he needs to borrow a portable radio to use while he’s doing that work-working stuff in his garage. or perhaps one of us needs to hop in the thing, left running with the windows down, and back it into a space for him a time or two…
wish he wasn’t such a large man.
