Thank you, Pierre LaPierre
Seriously. that’s the customer’s name: Pierre LaPierre, with the wonderful e-mail address of pierrelapierre@XXXXX.net. He wants me to contact him about a website update, but I must stop giggling first and saying “Pierre LaPierre” to myself in a Pepe Le Pew voice.
In other news… busy busy busy, but it’s hurry up and wait. The “To Do” sites list is growing longer, but the responses on my mockups are soooo sloooooow. Yesterday, I got both an angry e-mail from a customer asking me to “Please acknowledge receipt of this and my last e-mail” — to which I wanted to reply, “Acknowledged. Over.” and a laundry list from another customer on things they’d like to see on the next mockup version. Meanwhile today I have a new crop of remedy tickets that have mysteriously shown up without sending any e-mail notices to me — I hate it when that happens, why does that happen?– as well as a conference call to hopefully force a customer to pick a mockup version and a web-ex training session on how to implement changes to the new style websites. What fun.
Right now I’m just doing last minute tweaks to mockups until time for the conference call. It was scheduled for 10 am PST, but the customer replied (to all) that he already had a call scheduled for 10 am CST, could we make it 11 am CST, to which there was a reply (again to all) that the call would be held at 12 noon CST, would that be all right? Customer replies (to all) Yes, that would be better.
Thank goodness we straightened that out.
Just wait until we try to coordinate me with Kansas, California, and Hawaii people. Those calls end up being at 6 or 7 pm my time, which I so regretfully, must decline.
(Oooh.. PS. Deal.com just sent me spam that has the perfect Christmas present for somebody I know…. Muahahahah! Muahahahh! Hee hee har har ha ho! Chickens.)

mmmmmmm…. chicken.
=)
My mom still remembers going out with me last year to hunt you a chickeny-cheese present and always asks me if I’ve gotten you anything funny lately. She collects chickens, doesn’t she? she’ll ask. Well, no mom. We sort of …. forced them on her.

i miss taunting you guys with the creepy wooden chickens. perhaps i’ll dig them out of the garage (assuming i didn’t throw them out) and bring them over to hide in various places…
p.s. i don’t know if your friend told you, but i’m going to drop by after i leave work today. i am nearly done with Prisoner of Azkaban and have a feeling i’ll want to jump right into book4. and then book5. that is, if you don’t mind me borrowing them.
