Well, it’s not a no…

I guess the suggestion that FNIS pay to fly me to Hawaii this month was too much to hope for, but at least the training is still on. It’s not anything we can work into our budget right now. Fine, then. They want to see how well I do with the web-ex and conference call training, then see if we really need the additional help that Jay says we do, and then they’ll see what they can work in. Apparently, whether I get some in-person training will depend on if the existing intern staff (whom Jay speaks so highly of…) manages to meet our September sites deadline.

The best part about this job lately has been my most recent customer-conference call with my Cali boss man. The customer flipped over the mockup exceeding his expectations and told Howard, “Whatever you pay her, Howard, it’s not enough. That is outstanding!” I’m thinking to myself, shyeah, like Howard even knows. I’m pretty sure he forgets I even work there. I talk to other folks way more than him, and almost everytime I get a call from Howard, I’m convinced it’s the call where he’s going to lay me off. Funnier still, the last three times I’ve had Jay (from Hawaii) on the phone, he greets me with a “Hey? You still work here? Cool!”

It seems very funny that I trained him on the Comstock stuff, and now he’s training me on the Broker/Office stuff. I wonder if he’s cussing half as much as I was about him.

Oh well. The tickets are handled for the moment. Time to take advantage of having the whole house to myself!?!?!? I have two new workout videos I’ve bought lately that I haven’t tried out.
