Mon-daze..

Welp.. what a crappy Monday. Was just sick all day and late into the night last night, but still had so much to do that even the four hours I spend working yesterday barely put a dent into today’s work. Sushi buffet didn’t pan out, mainly because JChurchill sucks (he admitted as much). Plenty of gay/sex/porn jokes at lunch NEARLY made up for no sushi, but hamburger day at Sidelines, even including foosball, just didn’t truly compare.

For the record, customers who THINK they make your life easier by sending you screenshots of what they want, really don’t. They just convince their account reps, who convince the schedulers, who decide that you should be able to crank this project out in two days because they graphics are DONE, without even noticing that you cant even read the graphics because they are so blurry, and that you’ll spend at least a day just trying recreate them, which is longer than if you just designed the site in the first place, because with this stuff from the customer spelling out what goes where, then you really have to work to.. well.. make it work.

Blech.. on the bright side, this NIN live cd rocks. New Windows Media Player has some interesting skins, but it still sucks that my winamp wont play audio cds, and I have NO clue why not.

In other news… budgeting sucks, making your own homemade soups rocks (THANKS B&J again for the blender). Traffic sucks, but those signs over the interstate that tell you how far ahead and what lane the wreck is in rock. Feeling hungover without having drunk anything sucks. Being forced to lean up to the monitor like an elderly person while I edit graphics because only one contact lens is clear enough to see through sucks. Hearing that JamesT probably spotted a brown-recluse in the bathroom last night sucks. Getting in “trouble” for “pleading the fifth” on certain LJ survey questions sucks. Being taunted online by roomies making buzzing noises and implying they have “heard” things sucks… and well, waiting around for other people to finish their parts of projects before you can start on your part, sucks, but at least it gives me time to catch up on my LJ spamming.

Oh well. Enough said. Time to hurry people along. I do want to go home today at some point.
