Piss on ice.
I had quite a few things to Google after an entertaining night of funny piss incidents and frozen puke stories over dinner….
….is that a good way to begin an entry?
What I meant to say was that I had a lovely evening at the Melting Pot as a last minute invitee to a Skittle’s arranged birthday celebration for Wanda. As much as I love the Melting Pot experience, go figure I’d end up loving a non-cheese eater more who never wants to go. Thus, watch me jump through hoops for invites from others for their special occasions. Anywho… very nice night, couple familiar faces and some nice new ones. Never turn down the friendship of people who can jump right into the fray with their own puke and piss stories over dinner. I think the server (who wanted to be a web designer) loved our table best of all. =)
Other than good food, quality shopping was to be had this weekend. JamesT and I managed to help line the pockets of the nice folks at Rocky Mountain Ski & something-or-other shop for their four day sale. We both got good jackets, socks, and thermals, and I got boots. I know he wants to go at least one more time this winter, and in theory we’re working up to the notion of joining his cousins on their yearly weeklong snowboarding trip, so everything seems to be a good investment.
I also managed to hit the Barnes & Noble bargain books table for a nice fat stack of new reading material to leave all over the house. This afternoon was supposed to be dedicated to laundry and bedroom cleaning, but after only one load of clothes (and a pitiful attempt at shifting clutter to create a fresh, new walking path through the room) I joined the boys down in Casa D’el Mad to watch Club Dread and freeze our asses off. Still on that extended break, I’m now enjoying a piece of ill-gotten cheesecake, a new episode of Desperate Housewives and a laptop with teh wireless intarweb.
At some point tomorrow, after I get through the two major work items I simply have to accomplish without further excuse, I hope to remember how I was going to finish this sentence originally, and perhaps catch up on a week or so of LJ friend’s posts.

It was 5195 instead of 59something as I’d thought. Anywho, I found a good deal on a flatiron at the CVS. =\

Well, it’s a regular sized one, not a slim, and it had the X-shape instead of the V-shape, which I find easier to hold, and it was $24. They did have others, I think starting about like $15.
