“Here’s to crime.” *clink* “Hrm. Crime tastes funny.”
It’s almost 2, and all I can think about is why does my head still hurt so bad….
I think the Perfect Margarita recipe definately ousted the old Magic Margarita recipe for taste…. not that the Magic ones should be forgotten due to the great taste vs. alcohol content ratio. Also, after enough of either, you’ll stuff your face with just about anything dipped in chocolate fondue, but remember (for next time): Tequila and chocolate meet in the tummy and have a royal rumble.
The Perfect Margarita #2
Ingredients:
- 2 oz gold tequila
- 1/2 oz triple sec
- 1/2 oz Grand Marnier
- 1/2 oz orange juice
- 1 oz Rose’s sweetened lime juice
- 4 oz sweet and sour
Shake with ice. Serve in chilled glass, rimmed with lime and salt. Garnish with lime wedge.
Magic Margarita
Ingredients:
- 1 oz tequila
- 1 oz sweet and sour
- 2 oz triple sec
- splash of Rose’s sweetened lime juice
Shake with ice. Serve in chilled glass, rimmed with triple sec and salt.
And with the leftover fondue… we now have a platter of chocolate covered strawberries in the fridge. Boo on the “Superbowl favorites” from Kroger, which suggested the Italian sausage links for the grill. Skin gets too crispy and becomes a bitch to eat. Next time sticking to good old hot dogs. Tonight, I’m thinking barbecue chicken, more tasty baked beans, mac & cheese and plenty of chocolate covered things….

real margaritas are not made with sour mix. fresh squeezed lime juice only. lime juice, tequila, and cointreau or grand marnier.

Give it up, if you know the secret. We’re willing to try anything once.
