It didn’t even occur to me to drive up to Kennesaw today for our company meeting when they provided a call in number. Seems I was the only local person who didn’t, though. Oh well… slept like crap and barely made it up in pajamas to call in, let alone get up, get presentable and make the drive.
I think the best part of our company calls is just hearing Lloyd talk. He was going on about some FNIS person having it out with one of their customers and he said “They’ve made up now, though. They’re wearing each others class rings again.”
Officially, now, I’ve been given the assignment to redo our corporate site to get it to correspond with our upcoming company newsletter. Both have to be ready for May, since I won’t have any time after that to design them. In theory we “hit the ground running” in May, where I get to begin transitioning sites at what I’ve been assured will be a dizzying rate. Which means, of course, that they are all well aware that I’m pretty much sitting on my hands this week, without the internal assignments they gave me. Lloyd is concerned that issues are still not being handled properly as they come in through FNIS customer service, and wants me to begin a time/issue tracking to log where I get assignments and how long I spend on them. He says he doesn’t care one way or another whether I only log two billable hours a day, because he wants to see who is actually sending me stuff and how quickly they do it after the issue comes in.
Anyway, if it’s possible to be achy, sleepy, and hungry, then I am all three of those dwarves right now. Maybe grumpy, too, but I hope to remedy that with some Taco Bell in a few minutes. Okay.. can’t be too grumpy,
