further rants…

Mom is on my mind… i need to call her. i’ve thought about it the past two nights in a row, but it’s always too late at night when I do. Last time I called her at 9:15 and she was already in bed. Perhaps I’ll sneak and call her from work. =\

I’m just thinking she should have gotten my card. I have the REALLY strong urge to drive up this weekend and surprise her, but I really dont have the money to spend on it. I want to buy that Atkins book and cookbook, take her Savannah presents, and just drive up… well, flying would be better, but I can take the five hour drive. Problem is gas is crazy high right now… the drive alone will cost me a fortune, not to mention food or anything mom might want to do while I’m there. I’d say I’d better not even start this trip without at least $100 to blow. Does that sound pitiful that I’m stressing over $100?

Yeah, probably. Which reminds me… STUDY! Jim says to go buy books on Java programming. That probably is the way to go.

Egad, I’m hungry already. Big cup of tea and breakfast bar lasted me.. let’s see almost two hours. Must.. hold out… until noon.. at least. SOMEBODY this morning confessed to me that they’d already eaten their lunch by 10:30, snacks and all, and they were still hungry. Something tells me he’s not going to stay on this diet. I tried to tell him stuff he could go out and get for fast food for “lunch”, but he seems to think that’s just cheating. You’re not supposed to be starving on this diet.. you’re supposed to be eating all you want of the approved items. He doesn’t seem to get that yet. Oh well… he also told me his pants weren’t so tight today.. that he’s already noticed a difference. Wonder which will win out — enjoying weight loss versus “hunger”.

Shall we take bets on when the first Krystal run happens?
