but if I stay there will be double…

How many entries lately have started with “so fucking tired”? Wait… not as many as I’m thinking because usually I give up as too lazy to write an entry.

So, had Friday off work to attend the rescheduled skydiving-bachelorette gathering. Weather was fabulous and mission accomplished. Free fall kicked ass… last one out, first one down. Definitely doing that again.

Friday afternoon we were off to South Carolina with Uncle Brian to stay with the cousins and go to some car show, which lucky for me cousin Jennie didn’t want to attend, so the girls got to sleep late and go shopping. Only glitch in the day was a quick call to my mom Saturday morning, where she answered on the first ring and was all quiet. Where are you? she says. Laying in bed in Greenville, I reply. Are you in the hospital? Um…… seems she forgot I told her about the skydiving when I was up there last time and in talking to my sis yesterday she THOUGHT she was informed for the first time and was pissed at me. Of course, when I reminded her it was part of a bachelorette thing and about the hotel afterwards she was like… Oh my, you did tell me. How did I forget you were skydiving? Was it fun? and then I proceeded to sell her on it actually being fun and not insane.

Saturday night JT, myself, cousins, uncle, and one of Jennie’s friend from work all adventured out to eat then hit the “Fall for Greenville” festival, where we caught a bit of Kevn Kinney (again) and the encore of Cowboy Mouth. Greenville goes to bed early, though, so we found ourselves at a Starbucks at 10:30 in desperation for someplace to be other than home. Pumpkin spiced latte… mmm, I say, though Brad will say nasty.

But, next time we are out in the vicinity of coffee, I will gladly purchase something of the non-nasty variety for Mr. TheMad as the least possible thanks for answering the door for FedEx entirely too early on a Saturday morning while we were gone. BTW, what does a person do with a 6-quart pitcher, even if it does match her dishes patten? Perhaps next time I’ll read the item descriptions more closely.

Other than the already listed activities, had several good talks with cousin Jennie about her wedding plans and stuff, so feel better on that front for her. Saw her dress, which I have to say is going to make the very manly Marc cry like a baby when he sees her in it, I’ve no doubt. Also managed to hold my tongue with Uncle Brian by openly asking about his rift with his parents (the much loved grandparents of JT), yet willingness to speak to most anybody else in the family.

Oh well. Enough babble. Must go finish another book in Chronicles of Narnia.

I suspect you are thinking along the same lines as Brad, who was standing there when I opened it. Do you KNOW how many margaritas that thing would hold?

I just meant… I was expecting something along the lines of a cream pitcher and I got an umbrella stand, but still… cheap and in perfect condition. Go eBay.
