I guess Russian Department stores online would only add to my shopping addiction…

I wanted to begin this by saying that like most people we’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing but watching the Olympics lately, but after perusing the news this morning, it seems that Olympic ratings are down, so I guess we’re not like most people…. since most people were actually watching American Idol.

Anywho… I’m loving most of those Russian team uniformscutie jackets and little snow hats, matching gloves… all white with just a touch of red trim and the great red design (Note: guys following that link may see some of those things 20 minutes after opening the page, due to the lag from processing the cute little Russian girl wearing them). Yes, I’m aware of all the controversy about Bosco di Ciliegi putting their huge logos on the uniforms that far exceeded the Olympic standards on logo size…. but that’s all worked out now, and I still want to figure out how to order some Bosco Sport gear direct from the GUM. Apparently, though… no such luck, as no online retailers have them, but if I’d care to visit any of the many Bosco family of locations in person… they do take Visa.

That news perusing this morning also led to this article: Get a load of those Olympic outfits, which I’d at first thought was another commentary on the great Russian uniforms — which are also causing a stir for STYLE, thank you very much. But, alas, no.. it’s about those little bundles of emotional baggage, the figure skaters. What was interesting: a quote from Mr. Diarrhea of the mouth, Dick Button, who as it turns out in all that talking he does neglected to mention that he is a two-time gold medal winner for skating, from back in 1948 and 1952.

I am not shocked by your affinity for this outfit AT ALL. It has you written all over it. It’s almost like a Hawaiian pattern on ski stuff. It’s like it was made for you.
