it’s 4:55 pm, so what?
I suddenly have a HUGE pile of shit to do. Why? Because some inept person with login access to administrate their website content decided to apparently play around without any clue as to what they were doing and deleted page after page of content that I now have to recreate for their presentation tomorrow morning.
You know, if you don’t know what you’re doing, why would you choose to go in and just start deleting things at random? Eh? eh?
and if the “It did change, just clear your fucking cache” dude calls again, he’s going straight to voicemail. Get a clue, the answer is the same every time. Either wait a few minutes and check again, or clear your cache and see the change now. Every time. Every change. Asshole.

Your company doesn’t do backups of their websites? Why not have them restore from backup? If they don’t do backups, you need to quit today because they are too stupid to be in business.

Not the content, no, because it’s all added just like the customer can add it, through a web-interface. They can’t do full HTML, just non-scripted body content. WSYIWYG editor to add. Since hardly any customers are trained on it yet, we went ahead and added a bunch of content to many sites for them. Problem is, they get a little training under their belt, and they go nuts with the real site. –Delete? What does this do? Oh… bye bye page full of photos, links and information about the biggest city in our service area. Bye bye page four of our list of agents. Wow delete is fun. Then… later, looking at the site and not the admin tool… WHOA? Where did Raleigh go? Where’s the rest of our agents?– As if they have yet to understand that the “admin tool” ADMINISTRATES THE DAMN WEBSITE…
And, yes, usually when I add content I keep a backup, but the December/January rush to complete new sites for everybody didn’t leave me much time for that.
