Not working from home…
I pity you poor people who have to go up and down Ga 400 every damn day. This week and next I get to work out of a customer’s office up off of Winward parkway at exit 11. Theoretically I’m going the opposite of usual rush hour traffic to leave town in the morning and return to town in the afternoon, but in the 10 minutes I sat still on the on ramp this afternoon just waiting to get back onto 400 south it didn’t seem like it. That construction up there is horrendous. Priority one for tomorrow… to find an alternate route for the rest of the week.
The on site work is easy-peasy, though. Kills the bulk of the day, lets me do something for a customer one to one and get immediate feedback, which is nice for a change, and gives me an excuse to eat out for lunch for a bit.
On the bright side, in the 30 minutes my car didn’t get up to 10mph, I called Mom to find out that they finished up the yardwork this morning and she’s very pleased with it. And, my check engine light decided it was a false alarm apparently… either that or the bulb that lights the thing blew on top of whatever was wrong with the engine.
Two months until the car is paid off — ie. three months until it explodes or the engine falls out in the street while I’m driving. Our lease is up for renewal this month, and it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. With all the renovations and improvements they’re undertaking, the new management has seen fit to only raise our rent $30 a month to cover it. I think we can live with that.
But anyway… now. Laundry. Alternate route directions. Respond to emails for the day that I merrily have been ignoring. Whip cats. All good. =)

400 – two times a day, 5 days a week. I get ON at Windward, but it takes me 20-30 minutes to get to 400 from my house. So add the time on 400 to the time it takes to get to 400 — that’s why I come in early and leave early.
Now, Thursday (tomorrow), if you’re still up there around 7pm, I run trivia at the Mellow Mushroom on Windward (east of 400). Come play!

Well, I feel sorry for you! At least until they finish constuction. I hope whatever they’re doing up there helps the flow.
And I will be up there tomorrow, but I’m already promised to head down for Screen on the Green tomorrow night, so no trivia. =\
