waiting to reboot

Feeling better at last, decided to finally get the hell out of Atlanta. So, after filling up his rented truck from the nearby storage building, he phoned me up to meet him for some lunch. Since he isn’t actually starting the drive until tomorrow morning, I managed to convince him to stop by the house to at least check out Guitar Hero, torment the cats, watch the Christmas Dr. Who episode and generally hang out a bit before leaving town for good. If things work out for him down there, he may be in a good spot for a friendly vacation / visit sometime this summer. Hope he has time to learn to windsurf by then.

But, today was mostly shot as a result.

After he left, we hit the Best Buy in hopes of a Wii, but with no luck. The Target had a few PS3s, though. In the car leaving JamesT told me how weird he felt finding a PS3 then leaving it at the store. There’s just nothing out we’re dying to play on it, except maybe to use it for Blu-Ray movies. We REALLY want a Wii, so we’ll just hold out the dough for it. Jim enjoys his, and was telling us all about it. Pity it wasn’t part of the stuff loaded on his truck so he could have just brought it in for a while.
