20 years later…
Finally, I have watched Eragon the movie, with it’s brutal revisions from the book that everyone has complained so much about. Well, all I can say is…. I enjoyed the book because the subject matter appealed to me and I am somewhat forgiving of an author when they are writing about certain topics mostly because I just really want to enjoy the ride. The movie… wasn’t the book, but I think the same criteria apply. Somehow I have made peace with “major revisions and plot holes” and just enjoyed the ride.
JT wasn’t treated properly for his last bout of illness and as such neither of us got much sleep last night while he agonized through coughing on an already sore throat. This morning I wasn’t feeling so hot myself which made me slow getting ready and making me late for my appointments for the first time ever. Well, the slow start coupled with traffic both made me late, but still that is not something I feel good about at all. Makes me feel so unprofessional.
Yet, as is typical… 20 minutes late for the appointment, who should I ride up in the elevator with but my first appointment… also late. He made coffee while I set up my computer and the projector. Partner was already there, but hadn’t managed to find the control for the projector, the light switch, or even the coffee maker. Can I get a YEHAW that Pam is back with me for a couple days next week?!?!?!
Which reminds me… sometime when I’m not this dead tired, I simply must call Pam and tell her how happy I am that she simply exists.

dude, Pam is the shit. and, yes, i realize how ‘white’ that sounds, but god damn. she just is.
speaking of 20 years later…i’m calling for GIRL’S NIGHT! who is in? what is everyone’s schedule like next week? i think i have a crazy underwriters’ meeting next week (tuesday? wednesday? hell, i dunno…one of the two), but other than that, i’m (mostly) free. what say you?

when ever this “girls night” happens to be, if you wanna do something non-girlie, like eat raw meat and drink motor oil, lemme know. i’m totally down with that. i can bring a hammer and we can hit stuff or an axe and we can chop down trees.

Well, if you figure out if it is Tues or Weds… I’m with Pam both those days, Mac is back on Thurs, we’re at the Buckhead office, so we’ll be “near” town or my house, so she can hang out after and go with us to girls night, if you didn’t mind. I haven’t said anything to her, so I don’t know what her plans might be…
Otherwise, any night next week should work. Long days, but the office is not 800 miles away as it has been.
