Nothing left but to wait

Well, all the house & loan related stuff is now hammered out. All done. Nothing left to do but… everything… power, water, cable, schedule the countertop install, hire movers, pack…
Thankfully, though, we turned our racing minds off this Memorial Day weekend with a really great (and really last minute) trip over to visit my family in Alabama. We didn’t want to head home at all. Actually, it left our heads spinning with other thoughts, like how to work in paying for a used touring motorcycle of our very own….
We’d really like to have one so we could drive it back over for the 4th, but that’s just not going to work out. House first, escape vehicle later. Definately, though, that is in our short-term plan.
Okay, plenty enough work calling my name. The office phones have been forwarded to me this week, as Mary takes a vacation. Woohoo!
OH! PS: We hope to never eat hamburgers ever again! (Unless it involves another ride over to Southern Eagle!)

Maybe someday, but this is our big proposed road trip bike. Our “bicycle built for two”, I guess. We had so much fun on the one we had borrowed over Memorial Day. Listening to the radio, singing, chatting, cruising. And with gas so expensive, this would be a great weekend getaway vehicle for us.

That would require one of you guys, probably you, being the taller and more likely to be driving, to take the MSF course, which I still need to take myself. You know, if ever get the urge to do that, let me know. We can go take it together in a weekend. They have their own bikes, you just need a helmet, and we’ve certainly got enough of those laying around here.
Personally, I think it would be sweeeeet if you guys joined us in our weird new motorcycle touring fun.

Yeah, PS: Somewheres like Florida… or Gatlinburg… or New Orleans… we’re talking overnight road trips!
