Briefly wondering who is still sick…
We’ve just put out an overflowing trash can full of food trash and drink bottles, a cardboard box of empty liquor bottles, and one broken chair, and soon the city will take away the only evidence we actually had a party. The house survived in tact, which is how you want a house warming to end up certainly. Perhaps even more importantly, all the guests seemed to have survived as well, despite all that booze trash.
Kit was the party winner, trooping it out until about 5 a.m., and we weren’t surprised to hear the next afternoon that she was still drunk. You, dear one, are my party idol. We bow down before your ability to chat, entertain, consume, and keep upright longer than anyone with your little body-mass ought to. We were up entirely too early Sunday, starving and pushing our way into the door of the Outback at noon moments after it was unlocked for the day. After food, we were zombies, though, came home and spent the entire rest of the day with our feet up in front of the tv, napping. Could have used one more weekend day, though, but much work beckons today. Must focus.

Oh, good lord! Kit was up until 5 a.m.?!?!? Damn, that makes me feel old because I had two drinks, went home at midnight and woke up late with a mild hangover Sunday morning. 🙁

I’m not sure if I should be revered or pitied for being able to accomplish such a feat but I’ll take it. You gotta have something right? It was a great party and I had a great time. It’s easy to stay up so late when you have such good company.
I was a little drunk the next day and the bottle of champagne I split with Julie didn’t help the morning to be sober. I managed to pull things together before visiting B’s mom and dad though. Can you believe I got him to go sofa shopping with me? I think he may be domesticatiable afterall. 😉
Speaking of, I can’t wait for your first cookout which I hope to crash. I love having you guys so close by now! Thanks for having us over, and putting us up.

So much work stuff going on it will probably be this weekend before we can take care of getting a tank for the grill, but you don’t need to worry about crashing cookouts. You guys have a standing invite for dinners, movies, games, whatever! And tell Bert as soon as my slacker ass gets a bicycle, we’re going to take him up on his offer to hook up on the nearby trail and do a loop of Stone Mtn park some evenings!

and, p.s. we were awake until after 7:00 a.m. sunday morning, and i was STILL HUNGOVER until about noon today. now, that, my dear, is the sign of a damn good party. sorry i drank all the bloody marys. i’ll make it up to you next time (by bringing over more mix and maybe not drinking as much). 🙂 thanks again!

Also, Maggie remembers very little from the ride home, including the 20+ minute rant about wanting a Chick-fil-a biscuit on a Sunday morning.
