I think I really need to work on my budgeting skills. I’m disappointed how my spending went this pay period, but at least I had the foresight to put some extra dough in savings so I’d have trip money to visit Mom. Ohhhhh… and kinda-sorta found a bike I want, at least one of the non-motorized sort, hopefully priced right around $100. If I get my head together and budget NEXT paycheck better, I’ll go buy the thing and get pedaling!
Keep getting compliments about this one annoying damn project I’ve been working on for the past week and half or so. The CEO, realizing my annoyance with the thing, walks up to me today and says, “Kim, I want you OFF the Greater Atlanta project and we’re going to find you something interesting to do”… I actually said, “Yeah, I wish.” He laughed, gave me one of his sincere hand-on-the-shoulder moves and said “It really is some beautiful work. They’re going to be very pleased.” Like.. yeah.. I needed the pep talk from you. I don’t know why I get “bitter?” when people that I don’t recognize as having “good taste” compliment something I’ve designed. Perhaps I just recall that it was these same people that have had me scrap nice stuff for hideously flashing-blinking-seizure-causing stuff in the past.
Oh well… r a n t i n g …
No room to rant, really, because had really heavenly white-cheese dip and orange margaritas last night which so hit the spot that I could barely eat another bite when my actual “meal” arrived. Why ruin a trip to a good mexican place by ordering food… stick to the tortillas and cheese dip washed down by good margaritas! That’s a rule I’ll have to remember in the future!
