Wait.. whoa.. wha?

Apparently when the office we’re supposed to visit this month in Illinois decided to postpone site pimping and just do training, boss thought that meant I didn’t need to go. Hell, I would think the same thing, except that last week when I got the email with my booked flight information it said I still had to go to “assist with training and provide superior service to ensure the future pimping trip will happen”. It also said the boss “knows this and is okay with it.” … as in, knows it still means I’m going.
Today when I wrote my State of the Lone Graphics Person’s Address email to let everyone else know what I’d finished this week back and what I hadn’t, considering I’m off again tomorrow on another trip from about 2pm, the boss was surprised. Then I just got forwarded the end of a long string of emails back and forth from him and the office manager wanting to know why I was going on a training trip, when I’ve never DONE any training before, and when I was so backed up with work only I could do.
Does this mean my trip next week is on hold? No word yet. If they can refund the flight, my bet is yes.
Man, I hope so.
PS: On an unrelated and much more fun note, pyro-bro-in-law apparently managed to return his HD-DVD player to the Walmart for store credit, which he then applied to getting a PS3. No word on if he got Rock Band, but it’s only a matter of time. AND last Sunday, after her Rock Band surprise party, cousin Jennie and her hubby went out to invest in a PS3 and the Rock Band game! SWEEEEEET! James’ coworker Bob already bought it…. Looks like the competition is growing! =)

I have a feeling we’ll also be jumping on the Rock Bandwagon once our federal income tax return monies are deposited into our account. God damned HD DVD player. I just got it for Ben for Christmas, and it’s already obsolete. Oh well. The demise of HD DVD just gives Ben another reason to tack onto the evergrowing list of why our lives are not complete without spending money on a PS3. I guess it won’t be all bad; this way, we don’t have to wait until you’re in town so we can invite ourselves over for Rock Band. 🙂
Speaking of you being in town, I miss you. We need to fix this.

Oh lord. You mentioned that “tax” word. We haven’t even looked at ours, but I can feel the amount owed hanging over my head already…
I hope those downloadable songs are nourishing, as we may be living off our RockBand purchases come April.
