Few things
1) Apparently, the problem with both my computers was the power supply on the work pc. It clicked to reboot once while James was trying to find the syslog files, and the power surge caused my OTHER computer to reboot. Apparently all those attached USB devices, even attached to the powered hub and some of them having their own power cord, still does a number on the computer. Lucky for us with our million random computer parts stashed around the house, we had a bigger power supply to install… and my rebooting insanity seems to be over.
2) Got my business cards for Southern Lights Pyro to hand out at our gig this weekend, and I’m not entirely happy with them. The whole design is lower on the card than it should be, different than the preview, and the bottom line of info is right at the edge of the cards. SO frustrating, but they will serve their intended purpose.
3) That being said, I guess it’s obvious we’re off to our first paying Pyrotechnics gig this weekend. James’ OCD has been in overdrive, and this thing is thoroughly planned out, damnit. I don’t think he stops thinking about it even in his sleep. I made him sit down and watch The Golden Compass tonight to try to distract him, but I doubt it works.
4) After the wedding gig on Saturday night, we’re off to Chattanooga for “First Sunday in May” — Mr. T’s family reunion — which means a bad food day and some lousy pictures of us in groups lined up against a wall. Joy. Have so many things to finish tomorrow before we can go, though, can’t forget them, especially pay bills and mail mom’s package.
Enough said. It’s late, and this headache is never going away, so I’d might as well just go close my eyes and at least pretend to sleep.

Yay! I’m so glad you have a bigger power supply to keep everything working properly. That must be a huge relief.
I hope that you have a good weekend event for your Pyro gig. Sucks your business cards aren’t what they’re supposed to be. Can you have them re-printed at no charge to be correct? I think I’d try if it were me…
Have a good time in Chattanooga. We’ve got a vacation planned up there sometime in the next year and a half. I can’t wait to go. It’s some thing with this hotel chain. To sell us time-shares. Which we won’t buy. But hey, it’s seriously discounted rooms! 😉 <3
