* ugh *
If I didn’t already feel like crap this morning, I’d say I’d read enough crappy news to make me feel that way. For instance, this article about Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour and all the other impending plastic-instrument-paraphernalia crapful games makes me sick. These competing games are intent on making their little plastic shit not work with the other games. Oh, ours will have one special stupid feature that makes it required for our game, so NAH! gibb0r m3 $$$$
And then there’s Mr. T’s quickie message this morning about how dissapointing the reviews of the new Indiana Jones movie are. I’m so excited to see that movie, that really only the impending feeling like crap that was going on yesterday afternoon — and mostly all the coughing — kept us from going last night. Now, I’m just sick and sad that it could just be a huge pile of George Lucas’ crap instead of another jaunty tale in the Indy world.
Well, with this completely congested chest, occasional bursts of some nasty-sounding coughing, and this morning’s discovery of a sore throat and difficulty talking, at least I’ve already had some good news today — Best Buy informs me that our order for the PS3 SingStar bundle which released Tuesday is on backorder and may take two weeks before it’s delivered. Thank you Best Buy for looking out for my sore throat.
Sick or no I have to make it to my tomorrow afternoon’s orientation Pilates class, or else I’ll have to wait 2 weeks before I can start going to regular classes. Well, I guess if I’m leaking snot out of any major orifice I’ll skip it, but not being able to talk, sore throat and chest full of ?!@#?! shouldn’t prevent me attending.
Also, at some point this weekend — likely Saturday right around my scheduled orientation class at 3 — James’ uncle is supposed to be “in town” and wanted to make a stop by to see where we live now. Since he’s not speaking to the bulk of JT’s family anymore, going to holidays or reunions, I’m not sure the last time I saw him — and he’s way out of the loop, to be sure, so do hope there will be lots of time for catching up.
I had been sort of hoping to pop up to Greenville Sunday-Monday for a quickie Marc & Jennie visit — take advantage of her beautician skills for a much needed haircut and perhaps some updated highlights, a little “eyelash touchup”, and — of course — help them finally get their wireless going so we can finally hookup for some PS3 Rockband with them. Of course, I haven’t checked on how they’re feeling — JT seemed to have this crud last weekend while they were here, and now I’ve got it, so they might have picked up the bug as well.
Oh well — that’s enough babble for today. It may be Friday and inside I’m doing the TGIF dance, but I still need to hit the post office and get the rest of this week’s work done before I can relax.
Edit: I forgot the funniest thing today… Ex-stranged brother, whose psycho-wife wouldn’t let him speak to our family for 14 years, who he is still trying to “escape”, sent out a joke email today titled “How to Pick a Wife” — I haven’t read the joke yet, but I can’t stop giggling at the combination of from and subject lines.

Oh, I do still plan to see it no matter what. In fact, we’re thinking of Monday — if you guys care to go with?

Ugh! I hope you get to feeling better soon! I hate the crud!
I hope you get to enjoy your family visiting, too. That will be nice. And hopefully you will also feel well enough to get up to Greenville. That will be a nice break, huh?
I’m sure you will enjoy the Pilates intro class. That sounds like it would be really nice. I’m looking into Yoga. I really want to do some form of mind-body type of exercise. Something that merges the 2. I think it’ll be very relaxing and enjoyable.
I LOVE the edit! That’s just great. I can see how you couldn’t stop giggling. I was guffawing! <3 *hugs* Get well soon.
