Bootcamp – Month 2 – Starting again
Took a nice long week completely off from eveything activity-wise. Originally, I had intended to keep up with some homework type exercises, but the little piddling around the house and yard we did that first weekend really hurt, so I figured I’d just give myself a break and not stress.
As a result, today I started my 2nd month with a new class, and HAD NO PAIN! Well, no untoward pain, just the expected “this workout is hard” pain. =)
It was fitness eval day, and here were my times.
1 mile (on the “harder” down to the police station and back uphill course”) – 10 min 40 sec.
Situps in 2 mins: 54
Pushups in 2 mins: 27 full, 40 assisted
… bear in mind, it’s actually in 2 minutes or until failure, as once you quit, you stop counting.
I’m going to have to take a minute to see what my original stats were…on March 28 they were:
1 mile run for 11:01
38 situps in 2 mins.
4 unassisted pushups, 33 assisted pushups in 2 mins
Man, I’ve really got to work on that 1 mile. I really thought I’d done a lot better… jogged the whole way, no walking, and it only cut 21 seconds off the time I did it with massive foot pain. Something’s not right there. That incline must be worse than I realized.
