long night…

Posted in Crazy Wisdom on Thursday, June 6, 2002 at 12:36 am by flerly.

Well, that one hour afternoon meeting turned into nearly three hours, so I made it home by 4ish… not too early of a day.

Oh well… bless Norm for being slow to return pages, cuz it earned me a nice afternoon with JT instead of an afternoon at home probably working.

… got my first lesson on the bike *GRIN!* went to the elementary school parking lot and JT showed me the ropes… doing the same kinda stuff he did in his motorcycle training course. Imagine my surprise when I actually made a turn… of course, I’ll let you know when I make it out of first gear. =)

Later, ate evil-delicious pizza, watched Spy Game, which *checks both ways before admitting* I enjoyed. JT adamantly did not, and I think the lovely and talented Maggie was unimpressed as well. Am I really such a sucker that I can sit for hours regardless of plot and just admire Brad Pitt’s lips and hair and back.. and hold on while I clean up the drool. Well, yeah, I guess I am a sucker that way. But I didn’t mind the movie either.

Oh well… too much Coke has me AWAKE. All these notes from today’s meeting COULD stand to be typed up, but I really should go at least pretend to go to bed.

see, my reasons for not liking Spy Game were not nearly as, well, well-founded as James T.’s. don’t kill me, shoot me, hurt me or banish me, but i just…don’t think Brad is attractive. especially when he’s all bloody and mangled, as he tends to get in movies. *cringe*. i’m so sorry. it’s true. they threatened to take away my woman card for it, but i begged and pleaded and resorted to threatening them with boogers.

Ole’ Robbie Redford bugs me more and more, too, as he gets older and older. i couldn’t concentrate on anything he was saying without looking at his nasty, crusty, deep, and leathery mouth wrinkles.

all this is to say, i would have been all about said movie had Brad’s Boy Scout been played by another, say either of my husbands Val Kilmer or Ralph Fiennes, or that nummy Count of Monte Cristo guy. hmm…yes. but neither Val or Ralph would have been good in the part, so i consent. t’was neither crap nor treasure, but somewhere in betwixt.

they were in Beruit for a loooooong time, though. and there was no having of the sex.

Hey don’t feel bad about the Brad Pitt drool-a-thon. He is just YUM. He can make skanky look pretty damn good (as in Snatch). Granted I probably wouldn’t want to jump his bones looking like that but he makes a better skanky than most men. Did that even make sense? Oh well, let’s just say that I agree with you that he is worth watching regardless of plot. 🙂
