Day… 23

Wednesday – misty rain again, but no worries, as it was another abs day in the pavillion. Instead of calling things out, he let us take turns naming exercises and that really gave everryone time to recoup between things. Seemed like a pretty light day, honestly, especially since we spent the last 20 minutes talking and offering feedback about our month. Tomorrow is the fitness eval for the end of this month, and though I have measurements and a mile, I don't have a situps or pushups mark to beat since we never made that up before.
What I do know is my situps is going to suck, as it seems a bajillion crunches does not a full situp make, and even after 4 abs days and crunches at home, I still have no core. But, I thought I'd be positive about it and use my marks from tomorrow as my baseline for starting the 100 pushups and 200 situps programs, which I post about before.
I also tried to mention something about interval training for jogging today, but he went off on how they already do intervals with “active recovery” time, but then admitted that those in back of the group… the slow joggers, don't get the recovery time, as by the time the last people get there, the main group moves on.
So, in the spirit of that, I've already pulled down the Couch to 5K plan, complete with FREE mp3s that cue you on your intervals, and I did the 2nd one today before lunch. It was a bit over 2 miles in 30 minutes, with my fastest actual completed mile and well under my average pace. You're supposed to do it 3 times a week with days off between, but when bootcamp starts and homework is every day again, we'll see how that works out.
Calories are still being tracked at /www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp?id=FLERLY and that is going well. I'm staying below 1600 calories consistently, which I'm fairly happy with, though I have it set to harass me for going over 1450. I was happy to step on the scale the other day and be below 200lbs for the first time in a while, though I so didn't believe it that I have yet to actually log it anywhere. Better weigh in officially before “cheat weekend” though.
Monday is a skip day for “veterans” at bootcamp, as he repeats fitness evals for the newbies. My plan is to go over anyway and just do an hour of C25K intervals. I can't believe this is a whole month down already.
