okay.. so it’s time to invest in a new alarm clock…
or some new motivation to GET UP in the mornings…
The cd player died long ago, now it seems the radio tunes in nothing but static, so all I’ll left with for wake up options is the BEEP BEEP BEEP function, which has no volume control, and thus is set to loud and annoying as the factory default. With my usual habit of snoozing from 1/2 hour to and hour in the mornings, it didn’t used to be so bad… little soft music playing, then stops, then playing…. but now, despite the BEEP BEEP BEEP I could not wake up and just end the madness. And I do think madness was the way to describe it, because it drove JT out of bed at an ungodly early hour for him on a “Saturday”… Worse yet, when I am SURE that I turned it off then back on to reset it before I got up to do some work, I still managed to hear it go off ONE MORE TIME up there, earning a loud, grumbly “ARGGHGHGHGHHH!” from JT, followed by a slam, followed by silence. He then managed to drag himself out of bed and downstairs at what couldn’t have been 8am yet.
Poor thing. Hours later, now, when I have mustered the nerve (and excuse of Somchanh calling him) to go check downstairs, I find him curled up in a sleeping bag. =\ He didn’t injure me when I handed him the phone, but he didn’t look happy.
Perhaps I should consider using my pager’s vibrate alarm kept under my pillow until payday rolls around.

something that amused me this morning…
around 6:45 i heard your alarm, (i was only half-conscious because sam was laying on me and digging at me with his wee claws). i slept until my alarm went off at 7:15, at which point i noticed something interesting.
my alarm went off, and i gave it a nice “thwack!”.
after a few minutes, yours went off, to which i heard a nice big “slap!”.
then mine, then yours, then mine, then yours.
this continued until around 8:00 when i finally decided to drag myself out of bed and let sam’s whiney and clawy and putting-his-wet-nose-on-my-neck ass out, and i didn’t see you around but knew someone was up when i found him clawing at the carpet/closed door.
i was amused at our snooze cycle, but then again, it doesn’t take much to amuse me…
