All right.. yesterday was the longest day. Stayed in all day except for a cold, rainy, trip to find the nearest Georgia Power. Did I mention how much I love one-way access roads? Oh, probably because I don’t….

On the bright side, watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch last night, by myself, since the guys were “occupied” with games and I was bored out of my mind. I was so surprised, it was really good. I’ve even gone so far as to hunt down some mp3s from the movie. Very impressed.

Oh well.. man I don’t want to go into work today, but I have to. Damn firewall issues. =\

Slept so shitty again, which tends to happen when I know James is still awake someplace else in the house. It’s a mental thing. It’s not so bad when I know he’s awake but at work, it’s just when he’s up late playing games, especially when I’ve barely seen him all day, except for the visits to the back of his computer chair. Had strange dreams again, too, and this time woke up less than a minute before the alarm went off. Love that…

In short.. the dream… was dreaming about this family which lived in a mansion on some property that had been built in site of another HUGE mansion which their family owned, but was considered haunted. They owned all that land, so when they couldn’t live in the haunted one anymore, they just built another one. In the dream, the couple and their kid had only recently moved into the new mansion and the wife and kid didn’t know the history of the old one. There was something about the father trying various things to rid his family of the curse of that old house. He hired people to find the hot spots in the house, which turned out to be a closet and a remote bedroom. Then somehow, he arranged a surveyor and a lawyer to draw up paperwork separating the ownership of those two rooms from the rest of the house. Then he sold those two rooms to some out of town investor person, and all of a sudden the house was fine… so long as you didn’t try to go into those two rooms. He had carpenters actually disassemble the rooms and rebuild them separately to be shipped to the buyer. And they tried to move into the old house, so the man could show off to his family how clever he was… As fate would have it, they find out that the man sold the “curse” to that out of town investor, and strange things had started happening to him and his family, and not just in those two rooms. In my dream.. while this was all sorting out, I realized that this was all taking place in a movie I was watching on a big home-entertainment center, surrounded by people I work with and James. I realized this because someone came in late and asked me what they missed, and I had to recap it, which caused me to miss the ending of the movie. When it was over, and someone turned the lights up, we notice that behind us is standing John, one of the owners of the place I used to work, and he is saying to some other guy that he is just there to take down the entertainment center because it was his personal stuff, and since he no longer works there, he wants it. He spots James and says hi, and asks him whats new and if he’s still with that same girl (because we worked together there), and I hear James tell him that we are engaged… and then I woke up.

Yup. Damn stupid dream, I’m thinking. Not sure if it was the engaged bit or my internal clock telling me the alarm was about to go off…
