two things that came to be

As quirky and unrelated as the two events are, it still struck me as odd.

First JT and I see an older Ninja parked outside Mars Music tonight, and he says that’s the same kind, wrong color, that Tom Cruise rides in Top Gun… we I say we need to watch that again sometime, and that I bet now that we said it, it will be on TV tonight. Well, we just got done watching it on Encore…

Secondly I say to JT, you know, I didn’t see Angela online yesterday or today… I wonder if something bad happened with Charlie. Then I thought, no, surely someone would have called or at least emailed to let me know… Of course, we were out then… then we watched movies.. so I missed it. When I sat down at the pc I found this from earlier this evening:

Angela: didn’t know if you heard about charlie yet.
Angela: he passed away early this morning.
Angela: they’re having a viewing tomorrow…and the funeral is Thursday
Angela: i’m heading to mom’s sometime tomorrow, prolly

Just struck me as two strange things for me to think of then have them happen. Perhaps I should go muse on some lottery numbers, but I’m just not in the mood. I think I mentioned briefly that Charlie is my sis’s father-in-law, cancerous tumor around his heart, much controversy in Alabama going on about whether he should have been allowed to die at home.. but I guess that’s all settled now. I hadn’t seen him in well over a year.. since Dad was alive and both were working diligently on sis’s fireplace. I still remember Dad saying that Charlie was the only Ganey boy down there with a “lick of sense” .. and well, since I know Pete (sis’s hubby pretty well) and now that I’ve heard all the crap Tim (Pete’s bro) pulled about what kind of bad vibes the house would have if Charlie died in it… well, I think maybe Daddy was right. Can’t go to the funeral.. don’t really want to. I know they hope Mom goes, though, but I doubt she will. I should call her tomorrow.

Anyway.. tired.. not really sleepy at this moment, but considering I was falling asleep in front of the TV, I’m sure when my head hits that pillow it will be all over. Best get up there and let it happen.
