humpday..

Posted in Crazy Wisdom on Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at 12:53 pm by flerly.

Blah. Just looking back on a depressing couple of entries… figured it was time to alter the trend, with tomorrow being V-day and all.

So.. anyway.. made it to work by 10:30 only to find I have ACTUAL work to do! Still glad I layed out yesterday, though. Had a really nice day, nice late/lunch, nice (frustrating) tennis game, and nice (exhausting) round of 2player DDR. Then, of course, finally sat down to watch Pearl Harbor, which was good, but gave me the same sick feeling watching it that visiting the Arizona memorial did… something about over a thousand people entombed still.

But anyway.. this was supposed to be not-depressing… thinking V-day. Wouldn’t it be nice to get flowers? 😉 Although I HEAR there might be a nice restaurant involved tomorrow… but.. it doesn’t matter. In theory, we’re already pretty open, and don’t need a day to force us to express our feelings to each other. But, well, any excuse for dinner out and candy seems okay with me.

Okay.. just got more harassment to Play DAOC from a guy at work. No, damn it. I said no and I meant no. Stop tormenting me!

Damn.. I already deleted it. I had a great email courtesy of Bruce about how to deal with a significant other who is addicted to an online game… was hilarious, but you’ll have to take my word for it.

    =\

You’re right, though.. the DAoCers are like a cult. It’s everywhere, at home, friends, and now at work, too… there’s no escape. So.. either we need to start a support group OR maybe we should go chemistry crazy and try to develop a patch to ween them off the game.

i still like the idea of beating them at their own game…the patch would be fun though, too.
