Today…

Today there will be no “cheese” with the engineers. Instead there will be lunch from home and possibly window shopping.

Today I had a second encounter with those deadly wooden eels Space Ghost warned against. This time they had been the cargo on a pull trailer that had come loose and flipped in the middle lane of I-75 north, and were all over the middle three lanes. There was no vehicle in sight that might have been pulling the trailer, just a single cop car trying to split traffic around the mess. Damn eels probably saw Zorak in a passing car and caused the trailer to flip to try and kill him again.

Ignore me. Sunday night Space Ghost did a “murder mystery show”, which I found funny considering we had just had that murder mystery dinner for work. In it, Zorak was killed, and the prime suspect was a pile of two-by-fours which Space Ghost referred to as “wooden eels”. I thought it was funny the next morning that I got stuck behind a flatbed truck carrying a ton of the wooden eels on the access road to the interstate, but the moment had passed by the time I got to work, so I didn’t record it. Now, finding the things all over the road the next morning, well, that can’t be coincidence.

There is obviously a plot by the wooden eels afoot.

So tired… went to bed early (which means typical wake up at some point between 3 and 4 a.m.).. then could not drag ass out of bed today. Was supposed to get here early so I could sneak away to hike later, but the radio said there was rain moving in anyway, so I guess that’s out.

Heard this morning that Happy Camper (the one who must final approve my new salary) is leaving town tomorrow morning, so Paul hopes to corner him on it today. Well, I’m keeping my fingers crossed, which is making it pretty hard to type, so i’ll quit for now.
