you read my mind
Um.. why is the marketing reject formerly known as Sarah Stein until they fired her ass back? Hrm? Can someone ‘splain?
God damnit. Who the fuck are all these people using the empty desk behind me, stealing my spare chair, and talking on their fucking cell phone all day. Hey, guess what.. it’s a cell phone… it’s mobile… so mobile your ass out of my space, huh? I swear I hate freaking working in a cubicle space where I can hear clearly more than four phone conversations at any given time.
The headphones aren’t really standing up to this.
And now, I’ve got two weeks of time sheets to do, and everybody wants all the crap I was supposed to do over the weekend NOW. Screw them. Did I mention I’m not really supposed to have to do anything over the weekend? And guess what, this weekend, I didn’t… well, except fucking Lanier, which I did at 11pm instead of midnight just to spite them.
Left my damn lunch at home AND seems I still have JamesT’s ATM card in my purse. Not shaping up to a good day. Not at all.
I don’t think I’ll come in tomorrow.

You, Justin and I should meet for some sort of disgruntled office workers’ lunch sometime. It might save one of us from strangling someone. I’m already planning on taking a half day tomorrow, though I wish I could follow your lead and not show up at all. My boss is a tool.

Does it count as a half day if you don’t do one single solitary work related thing until past noon? If so, then I’ve taken a half day today. Basically it would seem I’ve come in for use of the high speed internet, phone, phone book, etc. 🙂 That’s the way I like it.

Welcome to my world. But since my “trying to be in the closet” boss is over here talking about lampshades, port-o-potties and James Taylor (no lie), I refuse to feel guilty.

My boss isn’t in the closet/gay or anything – but he is rarely here. In fact, he was visiting his son in San Francisco all last week – and was out the week before that (granted, work related). So I don’t feel guilty about my non-productive days. Besides, Mondays are transition days. They are just NOT meant for being productive. It’s the day to get back into work groove. 🙂
