He IS the King, baby!
Well, looks like Elvis is slow, but he comes through in the end. Anybody remember my request to the king from the Star Bar a while back? Well, somebody did…. Does that make the King two for two, Stacy?
I have the urge to say “wasted the whole evening” seeing Matrix Reloaded, last night, but I don’t want to imply that I didn’t enjoy it. Just seemed like it took forever… getting there early, waiting in line, waiting forever for it to start (that retarded TheTwenty pre-show makes time crawl, too), then the movie, then waiting around for the credits to end so we could see the preview for the next one… and oh my god those credits. They had to mention every Tom, Dick, and Harry that even walked by where they were filming, or so it seemed. SURE there were a lot of people involved in the filming.. sure they had an American Crew and an Australian Crew… but did we really need to know who tied Keanu Reeves shoes while he was in Australia?
Anyway.. work calls… or rather cutie Hawaii guy beckons to learn how to help me do reworks. Sweeet.

Well, based on intelligence alone, I think it’s safe to say that Keanu wasn’t the one tying his own shoes.
I saw Matrix Reloaded Tuesday at a Heineken preview – actually, I should say that I slept through the entire movie after about five minutes. At least they were nice enough to wake me up at the end so that I could go home. It was probably bad form, but I’d worked all day and we had a few drinks right before. Oh well.

so…. what did you think of the flick? Personally.. the cg effects pissed me off (everything gets compared to Final Fantasy for me).

ohh i thought the cg were great personally. i liked the movie. of course, i went in fully prepared because i had already heard this one was way less plot and more or less all blowinshitup… but the ending left us all scratching our heads.
if you like animation/cg and what not, you and james should check out “the animatrix.” the opening scene had some pretty ereet cg and some killer storylines in the other shorts too.
tell james he can find the svcd/divx dvd rip on packetnews…

… it’s like they took two steps back on the cg development. And you KNOW that they had this HUGE budget ( as noted by the amount of people in the credits… ); just looks like they pay off the inflated egos of Mr. Reeves and Ms. Smift. And there’s no telling how much Ms. Moss wanted for having to be nekkid. They should’ve put more money into cg development. Nothing has been able to touch Final Fantasy.
Greedy bastids.
