Victoria Day – Canada / Victoria’s Secret Day – US
Happy… day… y’all. It’s Monday. Insert obligatory “ohgodididnotwanttogetuptoday” stuff here…
For the weekend, though. It went well. Stacy recapped it well.. early cheese & some shopping Friday night. I found an alternate bridesmaid necklace. Angle came to visit for the weekend, which I hope was good. She seemed stressed — duh — I’m sure my, “just think, you’ll be married in one week, 3 hours, and 30 minutes” lines weren’t helping, but they were funny. BIG breakfast at Cracker Barrell… BIG shopping day for honeymoon gear.. and some shopping to tie up last minute wedding needs, like.. hair accessories and shoes. We also just did some fun shopping for club clothes to wear out Saturday night for the impromptu bachelorette party gig. The highlight of that evening had to be the hours we spent at The Melting Pot — and getting to see Kendyl again. Those two in the picture.. were they so drunk they’d walk into traffic? Um.. yes.. Afterwards we managed a bit of drinking and dancing in Buckhead, but the rain made Buckhead a pretty tame place to go…. not that we didn’t run into at least another half dozen groups of bachelorette’s down there, though. Had a bit of fun dancing by the balcony overlooking the rainy street and watching all the folks trying to “run for it” to their cars in the flood. Isn’t it nice how lots of guys think it’s better to run through the rain with their shirt off? Hmmm.
It was a flood, too. I hear a big section of Roswell Road is washed out still this morning. So much freaking rain… I really hope it gets it all out by next weekend, although even if we are stuck with the alternate rain location for the wedding, it will still be fabulous. Well, according to weather.com today, it looks like rain up there for the weekend, but I’ll keep checking.
Stacy is in her house… yippee! And, I have the address, so who KNOWS when I might wander by. All in all, had a wonderful weekend with girls and niece and JamesT. Really wish Skittles could have made it to the party, but c’est la vie.
Since I’m going to be gone Thursday and Friday this week, I’m wondering if any girls are interested in a mid-week cheese get together…
Hrm… Victoria’s Secret day… perhaps that will faciliate yesterday’s PF Chang “in bed” fortune…
I’m mental. Back to work.

While I don’t really know any of you, I’d have to say that you might need to enroll yourselves in a 12-step cheese withdrawal program. Not that I’m concerned about your cheese intake, but everytime I read one of these posts that talk about it, I just want to go get 37 cheese quesadillas with sides of cheese and chips. Gah!!!!!
So, even though you have no obligation to help me, I would just like you to realize that you are increasing my cheese intake daily. Therefore, either get into dairy rehab, or else start making money by being the best advertisement for cheese EVER.

Oh my god! You are so right – we are missing out on our fortunes here. We so SHOULD get money for touting cheese like we do.
Even though we don’t know each other except for our insights via LJ – I’m thinking you should probably join us one Cheese night. There are times we like to have some outreach and invite a guest to our “meetings”. Let one of us know if you are interested.
But no – we shall NEVER withdraw from the Cheese! What point in living would there be?

I would be more than happy to join you on ANY cheese night. When I went to Milwaukee with Justin, I almost didn’t leave because of all the CHEEEEEESE!
By the way, you do realize that this officially makes you an enabler, right?

Hmmm, I am sure I will be up for a mid-week Cheese. Perhaps we can even include some home shopping after food consumption. Sound like a plan?

Wow! I’ve never been an enabler before! I feel so…naughty. lol
This week Kim is going to be gone and you should really experience the Cheese Posse in its entirety on Cheese Night. Perhaps Friday, May 30th?
The Posse so wants to go to Wisconsin for a cheese pilgrimage. I have a friend who lives near Chicago who says he’s a mere 50 minutes or so from Wisconsin. That would be such an awesome trip. We could get in Chicago night life and pay homage to Cheese – all in one trip.

My friend Jules and her g/f, Dr. K live in Milwaukee, which is a huge improvement over Gloomington, IN, where I used to have to go to visit them. I have to say, even when they wanted to be homebodies, it was still a pretty fun town.
As I said, anytime that the Cheese Posse would like to have me as a Cheese Guest, I’d be glad to attend. Where do you go exactly? Just keep me updated and thanks for the invite!
