getting up to speed on Monday..

Welp.. 149 miles to Chattanooga, including the trip back and forth from JT’s Mom to Dad’s houses. Watched Nascar (yes, Nascar) and picked up some interesting slang which we need to try to work into more conversations. Had an… interesting dinner at JT’s Mom’s, which is apparently still taking it’s revenge out on my tummy, then on to the Dad’s for some Noah time. Got to hear all about who’s getting married while we were there, but NO they wouldn’t drop hints at us, NO…. never. Found out that Noah at age 4 is a regular Pokemon connoisseur, spouting off lists of complex Pokemon character names and explaining who they all evolve into. Did I mention he’s four and has no concept of who else might be talking to you while he does this? Whooped his little behind at a quick game of Scooby Snacks, though.. aren’t I buff? Yeah, I’m still quicker witted than a four-year-old. Well, I’d have let him win, except he’s developed the annoying habit now of singing “nah-nah-na-nah-nah, I’m’ going to beat you” while we play, and after five minutes of that, I realized he had to go down.
*sniffle* Missed the exclusive Star Wars trailer, due to “family time”, but not stressing TOO much. Now I’ll just have to rush out and see Ice Age to see the trailer. Oh darn. That movie looks sweet. I just wonder whether it or E.T. will get priority viewing with us.
Oh well.. 86 miles back to work for the morning, and I’m in by almost the usual time from home. Maybe sneaking in Sunday trips isn’t too bad. Traffic was a breeze. Have SO much more I could babble about, but since I’ve been here over an hour and have yet to start on actual work, figure I should at least work some before taking another babble break.

There is always time for a babble break, just rationalize it by it’s useful way for sharpening the mind first thing in the morning. yeah yeah thats it!
