egad… here they go again.. freaking headaches from hell…

Head is killing me. Did a little work. I’ll make up for it tomorrow. Did a bit of exercise at the gym… just got back from a quick jaunt to the gate and back, where a weird thing happened. I’m coming back by the very first garbage collection place and I spy two little kittens sitting in front of it. They are tiny. One is blonde and the other is a mottled gray… absolutely gorgeous, long haired, but far too tiny to be out and about on their own. I try to walk over to them, but they run under the bushes. About that time an older woman (named Grace, from Germany) pulls up in her beat up car, and proceeds to get out, pull a pan out from under the bushes, and fill it with cat food. So we begin talking, and she is irate. She is just a poor single woman, and she cannot believe the disregard for life that exists in the south. All over the place she keeps finding kittens just thrown out with the trash and she’s going bankrupt trying to feed them all. She said she was hoping someone would see them and take them in, but it looks like it’s not going to happen. She says she’s been feeding stray cats since she moved to Atlanta six months ago, and that there are always plenty. And here when we took in our stray Kitty shortly after we moved down, I really didn’t think anything of it…. thought we were lucky to find such a pretty cat for free. Guess I haven’t been paying attention.

That little grey mottled one, though… c.u.t.e…. do we need another cat? I’d never catch it anyway.

Ugh. Anyway.. staring at the monitor isn’t helping my headache. I just want to close my eyes.
